Our Properties Canopy Ridge Cabins

About Our Property

Our property has more to offer than just beautiful cabins. Take a stroll and explore what nature has to offer in this peaceful and serene setting.

Property Information

Our 60-acre property is secluded and away from the busier areas of Hocking Hills, but still within 10 minutes from the State Park attractions such as Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, Conkles Hollow, Cedar Falls and The Buckeye Trail. We are also within 5 minutes of a little unknown gem…natural water trickling out of the side of a large rock formation; so feel free to stop by and wash your hands or fill up your water bottle in the natural spring water! Our property currently hosts 2 cabins, a Tree House, a Yurt, a guest services building, woods, wildlife, private hiking trail, gorges, seasonal waterfalls, creeks and privacy. You can see the stars and hear the animals without the noise of cars as the main driveway and cabins are up 1,000ft in elevation.

Private Hiking Trail

Our hiking trail is of moderate difficulty, marked with wooden arrows and is a one-way trail…meaning you have to come up the way you went down. You will travel down 200ft and about 0.4 miles through woods, dipping into a small gorge to cross and walk next to a small seasonal creek. At a moderate pace…it takes about 15 minutes. At the bottom of the trail are a few gorges, beautiful rock formations and overhangs along with 3 seasonal waterfalls and creeks. After taking in the sights and sounds it’s time for the hard part…going back the way you came which is considerably harder!

Absolutely beautiful inside and out! Modern floor plan with great attention to detail (even a tool for making s'mores). Such a peaceful romantic setting. Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

My only suggestion is they add another night stand to the other side of the bed. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous !!!! WoW !!! A great place to actually relax and enjoy every minute of it. My family and I stayed on the Tree House Canopy and we all loved it very much as well as the service. You really feel right at home !!! They really thought about everything.

This place is in the middle of the woods so at night everything looks dark but that's the point. They have a hot tub but we didn't get a chance to use it because on the weekend that we went it was hot (another reason to go back again to actually try it but next time I will make sure it's winter time). Well the weather was not going to stop us from doing everything that we had planned on doing so we went to set a fire and it was pretty cool, we all enjoyed the family time in the middle of nowhere .

Whoever is responsible for this great idea of having a Tree House Canopy (my dream treehouse) with everything it has, congratulations, great job !!! We can't wait to go back !!!.

This is my happy place. My husband and I stayed here in May 2018 after we got married, and we just returned from our #1 anniversary trip a week ago. One of our favorite activities is sitting in the hot tub and listening to all of the wildlife.

This year my husband saw a bobcat tracking a deer.I love hummingbirds, I brought my own hummingbird feeder. I could not believe how much activity we had with those tiny little birds.

There were at least five that we could distinguish, 2 females, 2 males, and one we weren't quite sure if it was male or female. It was never more than 30 seconds between visits. We also had a baby squirrel nest in the tree right next to the hot tub, so in the evening we could see the three little squirrels playing running up and down the tree.

We believe they were about 5 to 6 weeks old.We love Hocking Hills because there are always a lot of things to do. Since I have nerve damage from a stroke, I can't always be outside - this year we did the Jack Pine Studios, some exploratory drives, and tried several different new restaurants.

It was very fun to explore the area. On the days that I could be outside for small amounts of time, we went on a short horseback ride, a couple of hikes, a petting zoo, and Butterfly Ridge. (BTW- I recommend Muddy Boots Petting Zoo, Blue Moon Acres, and Butterfly Ridge)Anyway, back to the cabin.

We stay in the treehouse, which is ungodly expensive. We save up all year so we can have a week of pure enjoyment. The cabin is always spotless, beautiful, full of clean towels, and be the essential kitchen items.

The owners always call to make sure that everything is going well and ask if there is anything they could do to make our stay even better.Whenever I have tests like MRIs, radiation, or other procedures, these weeks are what I think about to get me through. These trips with my husband are nothing short of perfect.

We had a wonderful experience with our family. The owners were very responsive and went to the trouble to locate and return something important that we left behind. We hope to return!.

My wife and I stayed in the sweet retreat cabin this past weekend. We were over the moon impressed in the cleanliness of the cabin. I would highly recommend Canopy Ridge to anyone looking for a great getaway to Hocking Hills!.
